Tabernacle Ministries is located in Greenville, South Carolina. The city is situated in the northwestern part of the state in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. It is in the heart of the swiftly growing "I-85" corridor, being 100 miles southwest of Charlotte, North Carolina, and 150 miles northeast of Atlanta, Georgia.

The City of Greenville is uniquely positioned in the heart of the fastest growing region of South Carolina. Greenville is the central city of Greenville County and accounts for 15% of the county's total population of 428,243. In addition, Greenville serves as the hub of the upstate Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) which includes Spartanburg, Anderson, Cherokee, and Pickens counties. The upstate is one of the largest MSAs in the nation with a 2000 population of 962,441

While the Greenville area at one time was known primarily for its textile mills, industry has diversified to include ICAR, the North American Headquarters of Michelin and the only BMW assembly plant in the U.S., as well as large manufacturing facilities for Texize, Hitachi, Digital Electronics, and many other national and international companies. The city has a large retail community, anchored by a major shopping mall and several major shopping villages. Special attractions in the community include the Peace Center for the Performing Arts, and the Greenville Drive, the Single A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

The area is served by the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, while major connecting traffic arteries are Interstate 85, U.S. 29, and U.S. 25. The costs of living and housing are below the national average, even with the strong growth the area is experiencing.

The elevation of the area, ranging from 800 to 1,100 feet is conducive to cool nights, especially during the summer months. Winters are quite pleasant, with the temperature remaining below freezing throughout the daylight hours only a few times during a normal year. There are usually two freezing rainstorms each winter and two or three small snowstorms. Rainfall in this section is usually abundant and spread quite evenly through the months. Droughts have been experienced, but are usually of short duration.
