Opportunities abound for all age groups to grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Children’s classes are graded by age and are small enough to meet every child’s need. The Sunday School lays a good foundation for those who want to live a faithful Christian life. Every department promotes spiritual growth and a personal relationship with Christ. The average Sunday School teacher has more than 15 years experience.
A unique approach to teaching is our All-Bible Curriculum used in the Junior through Adult departments. Weekly lessons come from a verse-by-verse study of a book in the King James Bible.
Children (Nursery-12 yrs. old)
Children are “an heritage of the Lord” (Psalm 127:3) and deserve the best training possible. Our children’s ministries provide a warm and friendly atmosphere, within a departmentalized Sunday School structure.Opening assemblies provide avenues for children to memorize the Bible, sing Christian songs, and use their talents for the glory of God. Our annual Sunday School Picnic in September is a highlight for all children. Summer camp and Junior Jamboree are other fun activities during the calendar year.
High School (13-18 yrs. old)
Our youth ministry encourages teenagers to develop wholesome friendships and teaches them to love the Lord. Dedicated workers oversee an exciting opening assembly, then the teens separate into smaller Bible study groups that meet the needs of that particular age.
Singles and young couples face unique challenges that require timely answers from God’s Holy Word. Opportunities for extension ministries such as nursing homes, bus routes, prisons, and children’s ministries are available. Tabernacle Baptist College provides additional opportunities for many to acquire Biblical and professional training. Equipping young adults to succeed as full-time Christians in a Christ-less world is vital to the cause of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Adult Auditorium Class provides an opportunity to study the Bible Verse-by-verse. Many have stated, “If you attend the Auditorium Class for one year, it’s like attending a full year of Bible College.” World missions is promoted strongly and regular offerings are taken to support missionaries around the world.
