1 lb. hamburger meat
1 lb. sausage (optional,
1 jar spaghetti sauce
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup cottage cheese or
1/2 stick butter, in slices
1 lb box spaghetti noodles
1-2 cups grated cheese
for topping, cheddar
Preheat oven to 350F.
Boil water for noodles and cook to al dente.
Brown, crumble, and drain the meat then set aside. When cooled a bit stir in spaghetti sauce.
Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese in bowl then blend well.
In a greased 9×13 dish, add a few slices of butter and *half* of the cooked noodles.
Take your cheese mixture and spread over the noodles.
Pour the rest of the noodles evenly over the cheese mixture. Put the remaining butter slices on the noodles.
Take the meat and sauce, pour and spread over the noodles. Place the dish in the oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes sprinkle your choice of cheese over the spaghetti pie and bake another 15 minutes, allowing cheese to melt.
